This a short list of the movies released this year (2008). I have chosen a few of the motion pictures that I think you might like. Hopefully you will see a picture or two that you will enjoy.
JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: Searching for his missing brother, professor Trevor Anderson sets out on a journey that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a newer edition of the 1959 production, that was formed from the science fiction book by renowned author Jules Verne. Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutchinson, Anita Briem, and Seth Myers star in this adventure film.
WALL-E: This picture is an animated, comedy, adventure, sci-fi. Earth has been left behind, an uninhabitable wasteland. Wall-E, a robot built to remove trash, has been left behind to continue cleaning. When Eve, another robot, arrives looking to see if the planet can sustain any life, Wall-E finally has some company. When Eve is retrieved by the spaceship that sent her, Wall-E sneaks aboard, and thus starts the adventure of his robot life.
HAMLET 2: Dana Marshz, formerly a small time actor, has moved on to teaching the high school after classes to uninterested students. When the high school loses a major building, the school board figures the theatre program will have to go. Now fully motivated, he is on a mission to save the program by producing Hamlet 2, a sequel to the original work, which he writes himself.
WANTED: A young, bored, office worker named Wesley discovers that his father, who he never really knew, is a contract killer. His father has been murdered, now Wesley is asked to join into the organization that his father was a part of. He is transformed from a nobody office worker into the killing expert that he was meant to be. From that point on, this movie gets complicated, and many twist and turns follow. Enjoy this roller coaster ride.
INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a long break. This the fourth movie in the Indiana Jones movies. In this movie Mr. Jones takes on the Russians. This time, it's off top the Amazon to search for ancient relics called the Crystal Skulls, and the secrets they carry.
MADAGASCAR: ESCAPE 2 AFRICA: As the title suggests, this the next edition to the hugely successful movie Madagascar. Our cast of lost animals, Alex (Lion), Marty (Zebra), Gloria (Hippo), and Melman (Giraffe) are attempting to leave Madagascar, and go back to the Central Park Zoo, which is the only home they know. With things going wrong again, as the Penguins are up to their old tricks, they will wind up going to have more adventures first.
THE CHRONICALS OF NARNIA, PRINCE CASPIAN: It is one year later, in "real" time, when Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy are mysteriously pulled back into Narnia. Prince Caspian has blown Susan's magic horn, in a desperate plea for help. In their one year at home, centuries have passed in Narnia, but the four legendary characters have be summoned back to battle for the freedom of Narnia once again. With the aid of the brave warriors of Narnia, they battle to free Narnia.
PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Underachieving pothead Dale has just witnessed a crooked cop, and a big time dealer, commit a murder. He was spotted witnessing the crime. Knowing they've seen him, he unwittingly throws down his joint, a unique version called pineapple express, and runs. The pot is so unique, that the bad guys can trace it. The chase is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are on the run.
ROLE MODELS: Danny and Wheeler, who sell energy drinks, might be seeing some hard jail time after trashing the company truck. The way they can avoid being locked up is by doing community service. Their task will be to become mentors in a community service program. Let the fun begin.
