Who are those people with blue lights on their cars?
Volunteer firefighters and medics are allowed to have blue lights on their personal vehicles. If you see someone with a flashing blue light, please pull over and give them the road. They are responding to an emergency. Make sure masks have good ventilation and visibility. Don't use sharp or pointy objects as part of a costume. Use a light rather than a candle in jack-o-lanterns, especially if they are inside. Where is Leatherface's costume, masks and chainsaw today?
Ed Neal told me that Tobe Hooper had most props and other equipment (including the original 2 reels of film) in a storage room in Austin, TX. Tobe's mother got tired of paying the rent on the storage facility and put the box(es) out on the curb to be thrown away. Ed picked up the items for himself. He said that he kept a few items but a lot of it went to the Humanities Research Department of UT Austin. I also posed this question to Gunnar and in an e-mail he sent to me in response.Neoprene is a semi-rigid synthetic rubber, far more durable than regular mask latex. It is frequently used by the film and theatre industries to create masks, puppets, props and costume pieces.
What is a Masquerade Brigade?
The Masquerade Brigade is similar to the New Orleans concept of a krewe, but much less structured for now. Carnaval Santa Fe masquerade brigades are composed of people in costume who walk through the streets, go out for lunch or dinner, and attend any of the Santa Fe social (or non!) events while dressed in costume.
Can I wear a costume to the forest?
We ask that our guests do not wear a costume, masks, face paint, or anything that may cause other customers to mistake you for a Frightmare Forest Cast Member. This is for your safety, the safety of other customers, and the safety of our staff. It also helps our staff managers know who is an actor, and who is a customer.
