By Charlie Chaps

This is a short list of the more popular movies put up on the big screen in 2008. I have chosen a few of the films that I think you might like. I hope you find some films here that you will enjoy.

JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH: On a mission to discover what happened to his lost brother, a science professor goes on a mission that puts him on a journey to the center of earth. This is a remake of the original 1959 movie, which was about the classic work by renowned author Jules Verne. This sci-fi adventure stars Brendan Fraser, and Anita Briem.

WALL-E: This picture is an animation comedy. Everyone has been removed from Earth because it had become a big pile of trash. Wall-E, a robot built to remove trash, has been left behind to clean up the planet. When Eve, another robot, arrives looking for signs of life on Earth, Wall-E finally has some company. When Eve is retrieved by the spaceship that sent her, Wall-E somehow get on the ship, and begins an exciting new life.

FORGETTING SAHRAH MARSHALL: Grief stricken from an undesired break up with long time girlfriend Sarah, an actress in a chessy sitcom, Peter decides to get away to a Hawaiian resort to start anew and forget about Sarah. Of course, when he arrives at his hotel, the first thing he sees is Sarah and her new lover, who's bigger than life. The stage is set for a thoughtful romantic comedy.

WANTED: Wesley Gibson is about to learn that his father, who he never really knew, is an assasin. His father has been murdered, now Wesley is asked to join into the secret society of killers that his dead father was involved with. He now will become the asassin that is in his blood. From there, things get very complex and twisted. Enjoy this roller coaster ride.

INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL: The Indiana Jones adventure continues, after a 19 year hiatus. This is the most recent movie about the adventures of Indiana Jones. In this, the latest adventure, Mr. Jones takes on the Russians. The Soviets are looking for some South American relics, which are thought to have secret powers.

Jumper: While almost drowning, David Rice discovers he has an unbelievable ability. He has the ability to teleport himself to any place he wants to go, at any time. Later, he becomes aware that there are others with this capability. After years of "jumping" around the planet, he finds out that there are those that think jumpers are a threat, and need to be eliminated. Now he is in a fight for survival, as the hunters want him dead.

GET SMART: Agent 86, aka Maxwell Smart is at it again, and everything is under "CONTROL". The classic James Bond spy spoof, the shoe phone, and all the classic quotes. It is fun to have another glimpse back at this classic spy spoof TV series.

PINEAPPLE EXPRESS: Underacheiveing pothead Dale in a stroke of bad luck, has seen a bad police officer, and the local drug king pin, murder someone. They see him witness what's gone down. Realizing this, he drops his joint of pineapple express, and takes off. This joint is such a unique type of weed, that the bad guys can. The game is on, the bad guys are hunting, and Dale and dealer Saul are deparately hidding from the bad guys.

WHAT HAPPENS IN VEGAS: I guess it was a typical night out in Vegas. Barely remembering what had happened, Jack and Joy wake up to discover that they are married. When they win a $3 million jackpot, the question is who should get the money, so they ask a judge for a decision. The strange ruling is that the two must stay married for a few months, and see if they can settle their differences. With $3 million on the line, they conspire to make each other quit the marriage, as they are both determined to wind up with all the money.

Most people buy or rent films, and views them on their home entertainment system. A more recent method for getting films is by downloading them directly off websites. The internet has many websites that with a membership, you can download virtually any movie ever made. - 15615
