Coffee on the Floor

By Rick Amorey

As some of you may already know, I have recently done some renovating at our home. While it involved a lot of repainting, wall restorations and whatnot, the first thing that people noticed when I brought them over was the new floor. The whole ground floor currently sports polished concrete, and it catches their eye even more so than my new espresso machine (nuts!).

They were nevertheless able to notice my fancy new coffee maker when I served them some of my home brew. As coffee breaks go, there were a variety of topics, but what they kept going back to was my polished, concrete floor. They wondered how I was able to do that on my own; it was as if I joined the secretive Freemasons, and they taught me their secret.

Now while I may have been the reason why our home was renovated to begin with, I pretty much didn't have any personal hand with the polished floor. All I did, really, was go to the Concrete Polishing website to look for a contractor in the area. The contractor was the one to blame for the amazing Concrete Floor.

So, if you want an astonishing concrete floor like mine, I would suggest going to concretepolishing.org. The people there are experts in their field, and they could do a much better job than you could ever do yourself. They know how to utilize the innovations in concrete polishing, aware of how to use different grits of diamond. As for me, all I know is they start with the low grits for coarse cutting or grinding, and go to progressively higher grits to establish that shine.

I also noticed that, at certain points, he added in a few substances that, to my knowledge, acted as densifiers. He must have also added some coloring to achieve a coffee colored finish, which I enjoy noting while I sample my first cup in the morning. - 15615
